PH® Sound Relaxation for Groups

Deep Relaxation and Recovery for Body and Mind

Are you looking for a soothing and restorative activity for a workplace wellbeing day, a meeting, or a private celebration?

PH® Sound Relaxation (also known as a Sound Bath or Resonant Deep Relaxation) is a group experience that offers a chance for complete stillness and recovery. It is a method that helps break the cycle of daily stress and provides a much-needed breathing space for both body and mind.

What happens during the session?

During the relaxation, participants lie comfortably on mats under warm blankets in their own space. The instructor creates soothing soundscapes using various instruments, such as singing bowls, gongs, rainsticks, and wind chimes.

The instructor uses the German Peter Hess® method, which has been developed and taught internationally since the 1980s. The method is renowned for its safety and professionalism:

  • Vibroacoustic Impact: The sounds are not only heard but felt as gentle vibrations throughout the entire body. This helps you reach a meditative and restorative state of deep relaxation.

  • Mindful Distance: In the Peter Hess® method, instruments are always played from the instructor's position. They are never placed on the participants' bodies, ensuring a private and undisturbed space for everyone.

  • The Result: Many participants describe feeling pleasantly mellow and refreshed afterward. It is a holistic treatment that positively affects both physical and mental well-being.

Benefits of Sound Relaxation:
  • Holistic Recovery: Helps lower stress levels and improves sleep quality.

  • Mental Clarity: Increases focus and calms a racing mind.

  • Community: Strengthens group spirit and creates a shared, peaceful experience.

  • Physical Release: Gentle sound waves help alleviate physical tension.

How and Where?

The relaxation takes place lying down on a mat under a blanket (can be arranged seated upon request). The instructor brings all necessary equipment and sets up the space beforehand.

Practical Information:
  • Duration: Please set aside 1 hour in total. The relaxation itself lasts 45 minutes, including a brief introduction and a gentle awakening.

  • What to wear: We recommend comfortable and warm clothing. As body temperature naturally drops during deep relaxation, long sleeves and wool socks significantly increase comfort.
