A Complete Group Experience
Welcome to an unforgettable day in one of Finland’s oldest and most beautiful cities. Porvoo’s cobblestone streets and iconic red shore houses provide the perfect setting for a day filled with culture, culinary delights, and relaxed togetherness.
Our day begins with an guided walkingtour in the heart of Old Porvoo. During the walk, we step back in time with visits to the historic Town Hall and the Holm Merchant’s House, which served as a wealthy 18th-century home and has been preserved as an atmospheric memory of times gone by. The guide’s stories bring history to life in a way you won’t find in history books.s.
Following the tour, we enjoy a delicious lunch at a cozy local restaurant, after which there is free time for shopping. In the charming boutiques of the Old Town, you can pick up local treats, such as the famous Brunberg’s kisses.
The afternoon program continues with a choice between two of Porvoo’s most iconic landmarks:
-
The J.L. Runeberg Home: Time seems to have stood still here – the houseplants, the family furniture, and Fredrika’s garden reflect 19th-century life in a beautifully preserved state.
-
Porvoo ”Castle”: Admire one of the city’s most stunning 18th-century stone mansions, whose thick walls tell the story of Porvoo’s era as a thriving center for international trade.
Before heading home, we gather for afternoon coffee and treats at the Tea and Coffeeroom Helmi. Over a fresh cup of coffee and a delicious pastry, it’s the perfect moment to share the day’s highlights and soak in the timeless atmosphere of Porvoo.
