Experience the historic grandeur of Eastern Uusimaa on this diverse tour. This journey introduces you to the heritage of the Strömfors Ironworks, the maritime charm of Loviisa, and the majestic Malmgård Estate.
Our day begins at Strömfors Ironworks, one of Finland's best-preserved 17th-century industrial communities. During a guided tour, you will learn about the fascinating history of the ironworks and the smiths who lived here. You will also have free time to explore local craft workshops and boutique shops.
We then continue to charming Loviisa, where a delicious lunch is served at the historic Loviisan Kappeli, a restaurant steeped in 19th-century atmosphere. After lunch, a combined bus and walking tour reveals the city's rich past, from its sea-facing fortifications to its beautiful wooden quarters.
Our final destination is the magnificent Malmgård Estate. We enjoy a private guided tour of the Neo-Gothic manor house, followed by afternoon coffee served in the atmospheric estate brewery building. Before heading home, you can visit the Malmgård shop to buy award-winning artisan beers, organic grains, and other locally produced goods.
