Heritage & Creativity: Strömfors Ironworks and Bonga Castle

Journey through time and art on a captivating day trip that combines industrial heritage with vibrant contemporary creativity. The day begins at Strömfors Ironworks, one of Finland's best-preserved ironwork communities, where a professional guide leads you through the historic grounds to share the fascinating stories of this riverside village. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore the artisan workshops and boutiques for unique local crafts before savoring a delicious lunch in the atmospheric setting of Strömfors Bed & Bistro.

The adventure continues in the city of Loviisa at the extraordinary Bonga Castle, the private gallery of renowned artist Riitta Nelimarkka. You will be amazed by over 200 colorful works, from vibrant paintings to playful sculptures, with the opportunity to browse art books and original pieces in the gallery shop. The afternoon unfolds with a guided tour of Loviisa, exploring the city’s architectural gems and idyllic wooden house districts by bus or on foot. Our journey concludes at the historical Loviisan Kappeli, where we enjoy afternoon coffee in a classic parkland setting before heading home.
